....... my name is Mel and I run the Caterpillar Music classes in Chafford Hundred, Grays, Essex.
I am not a dad(!), but a mum of three, and in October of last year I started a Saturday morning Caterpillar Music class (in addition to my midweek classes) held at The Sandmartin Pub in Chafford Hundred at 10.30am.
Originally my aim was to help out the working mums and dads who weren't able to attend classes with their little ones during the week, and who wanted to be the ones to take them somewhere fun instead of it being the childminder or the nursery who got to do all the fun stuff!!! Since October though I have noticed that it is also a good opportunity for dads to come along with their little ones - whether it be single dads, dads who only have their children for the weekends, or dads who just want to go out and give mum a lie in(!)
